Start on Mac
When you start using CodexPocket, begin on the Mac. In practice, that means launching CodexPocketMac, preparing the Projects the iPhone should see, and making the connection information available.
How to get CodexPocketMac
Download the Mac app Read the release notes Run from sourceNote: download the .dmg from GitHub Releases, then install it on your Mac.
The current public Mac stable is 0.1.3. In the normal path, download the notarized DMG and start from there. Use the mac-app README Quickstart only when you want a source build for development or verification.
What the Mac app does
The Mac app is responsible for:
- starting and stopping Bridge
- showing the pairing QR code used by the iPhone
- managing the
Projectlist shown on the iPhone - checking Bridge state
- exposing logs
What to do on the Mac first
- launch
CodexPocketMac - confirm that Codex CLI is available
- make Git available if you want branch features
- add a
Projectfrom the iPhone if needed - start Bridge
If you already use Codex comfortably on the Mac, the main extra steps are just launching CodexPocketMac and checking Projects.
