Get the iPhone App

Current distribution status

  • App Store: no public page right now
  • TestFlight: no public link right now
  • Mac stable: 0.1.3 is public

Even while there is no public App Store / TestFlight link, this page lets you confirm the first screen and the first checkpoints in advance.

After you get and launch the CodexPocket iPhone app, no Mac has been imported yet, so the app starts in an empty state. That is normal.

What the first screen looks like

  • a message in the center explains that no Mac has been added yet
  • Add from QR and Open Hosts lead into Host setup
  • Projects is still empty
  • Settings already lets you change display and connection options

It helps to think of this empty first screen not as a setup mistake, but as the stage before importing the Mac.

Things to confirm right after getting the app

  • the empty-state message and Add from QR button are visible
  • Open Hosts takes you to the Host list
  • Settings lets you change language, theme, and font size

Things you can do before adding the Mac

  • switch the language
  • adjust the theme and font size
  • review how notifications and unread badges behave

You still need Mac-side setup and a Host before real work can begin.

Before you move on

If you already know the Codex workflow on the Mac, the only new setup on the iPhone is the connection target. You do not need to rebuild your repository or Codex CLI environment on the phone.

Next, open What to Check on First Launch and adjust only the permissions and readability settings you want.
