Usage Overview

The Usage section explains how to continue the Codex work you normally run on the Mac from the iPhone. It assumes pairing is already complete, Bridge is ready, and you can open Projects from the iPhone.

The mental model is simple: the real work continues on the Mac, while the iPhone lets you quickly check what is happening, send the next instruction, and switch context when needed.

How to read this section

What each screen is for

  • Home Best when you want to resume quickly from the default Host, recent projects, or favorites.
  • Projects Best when you want the full list or need to add or edit a Project.
  • Thread The main screen for continuing the conversation while reading the Work Log and Answer.
  • Composer Where you send new requests, follow-up instructions, images, and commands.

What you can do from the iPhone

  • check and resume existing Threads
  • start new Threads
  • send follow-up turns
  • switch branches
  • use Skills and Exec

Even if the live connection on the iPhone drops, the work on the Mac often keeps going. When you are away from the desk, it helps to think of the iPhone as the window for progress checks and follow-up instructions.
