What to Check on First Launch

On first launch, it is enough to set up the permissions and display options that help you avoid confusion later. You do not need to recreate the Mac-side environment from the iPhone.

Permissions you are likely to see first

  • notifications Useful when you want to notice that a thread finished while you are away from the desk.
  • camera Used when you scan the Mac pairing QR from Add from QR.
  • local network Used when the iPhone finds and connects to the Bridge on the same network.

Camera matters when you use QR. Local network access matters when you test the connection and import projects after adding a Host. You can always allow them later, but granting them early keeps the flow from stopping.

Settings that improve readability early

You can change these in Settings:

  • Font Size Worth adjusting early if you often read long logs or Work Log output.
  • Theme Useful when you move between bright and dark places.
  • KeepAlive and Timeout Useful when you want to tune behavior on unstable connections.

For most people, changing only Font Size at the beginning is enough.

Things that are still normal at this stage

  • there are zero Hosts
  • there are zero Projects
  • there are no Threads yet

From here, go to Hosts and import the Mac.
